Stained Glass Display - Pairc an Tobar Biodiversity

Viewing area off the Mill Road: This is situated on the right off the Mill Road. Rosscarbery Tidy Towns. Developed this area a number of  years ago. Rock armour was placed in position with top soil  added and grass seed sown. Seating was then added giving  superb views across the Lagoon. As you look out over the Lagoon: Convent is to the right; Cathedral is centre view; Catholic  Church is to the right; The 200-year-old stone-built Causeway on the N71 is to the Estuary  side of the Lagoon. Details on Wildlife are shown on the information panel. This was designed and put in place  by Rosscarbery Tidy Towns Association. The Stained-Glass units were designed and put in place by the Active retirement group  some years ago. A signpost on site directs you to St. Fachtnas Shrine. This shrine is situated uphill from this  point. It is a steep hill. Lovely views and an interesting shrine await you when you reach the  top! Another sign here gives you direction on the Slí na Slainte walk in our area.
